Five elderly people and five employees at the São Vicente Paulo Institute, in Campina Grande, tested positive for the new coronavirus, which caused Covid-19, this Friday (22). The site serves as a long-term shelter for 79 elderly people. The information is TV Mail.
The rapid tests were provided by the Municipal Health Department of Campina Grande after a 77-year-old woman died with suspicious symptoms of the disease, on Thursday (21). On Friday, another elderly woman who lives at the site died with suspected symptoms of Covid-19.
Health Secretary Felipe Reul told the TV Mail that the site undergoes disinfection and the elderly and employees with positive tests were isolated.
